To be a green business needs to make sense. Not only for the environment but also for your company. However, being a green business can mean several things, and it can be challenging to know where to start. Start with an energy audit because it is a step in the right direction.
In the EU, an energy audit is mandatory for all companies with more than 250 employees with a yearly turnover of more than 50 million Euros or/and a general ledger balance of more than 43 million Euros.
With a mandatory energy audit, you get a complete overview of your energy consumption—and you will be able to document it. We make it easier for you to figure out how to go from green to greener.
Company size does not matter
For larger companies, it is mandatory to conduct an energy audit every four years according to EU regulations. In Denmark, it roughly affects 1.200 companies. However, an energy audit is beneficial for any company of any size. Just because you are not among the 1.200 companies does not mean you should not get an energy audit—you most definitely should.
Energy audit of your company
It is our task to make green initiatives simple for you. When you hire us to conduct an energy audit, you get a complete overview of your energy consumption, making it easy to document. This is done by reviewing your buildings, manufacturing plant, equipment, transport etc. When done, we provide a complete map of how you use your energy and where you can become more efficient.
When conducting an energy audit, we do the following:
- We collect all relevant data
- We review all buildings, manufacturing equipment etc.
- We analyze the collected data and compile a report
- We go through the report with you and advise you on how to file it
Is it expensive to go green?
Sustainability needs to go hand in hand with your bottom line. But you need to be in it for the long run. You have to see an energy audit as a long-term investment and a platform for future green investments. How much does it cost? It depends on what type of company, the number of buildings and locations etc. And, of course, the amount of time we have to spend collecting and analyzing your data.
